Boysenberry
Boysenberry is a warm, red-tinged purple palette that takes its name and color from the boysenberry — a complex hybrid berry (a cross of raspberry, blackberry, loganberry, and dewberry) with a deep purple-red color that is both distinctly purple and distinctly warm. Unlike bluer purples, the boysenberry is thoroughly mixed with red, producing the vivid magenta-purples and berry tones that give this palette its distinctive character.
Berry Magenta (#A83070) at the palette's center is the most commercially active tone in the range — it's close to what the fashion and beauty industries call "magenta" or "deep fuchsia," and it has appeared consistently in seasonal color forecasts throughout the 2010s and 2020s. It carries energy and femininity while remaining sophisticated enough to avoid the saccharine quality of pure pinks, giving it crossover appeal from beauty and fashion into broader lifestyle branding.

Boysenberry works across a wide range of food and lifestyle applications: artisan jam and preserve packaging, frozen yogurt and dessert brands, berry-forward cosmetics and lip color brands, summer fashion in the warm-purple-to-berry range, and any lifestyle brand targeting an aesthetic that combines indulgent food pleasure with sophisticated, adult color choices. The palette is also an excellent choice for Valentine's Day and romantic-occasion design where the standard pinks have been overused and something richer is needed.
Dusty Mauve and Soft Blush at the lighter end bring the warmth and approachability needed to balance the dense darkness of Deep Boysenberry. Together they function as backgrounds and secondary elements that extend the palette's vocabulary without demanding the same visual intensity as the deep anchor tones. The full range creates a self-sufficient, warm-purple design system that feels both current and timeless.
